The Asus Nexus 7 has been released for quite some time now, however, a dock has never been officially released by Asus. Today, Asus has released information on when the official Nexus 7 dock will be released, citing “sometime in early December.” The dock will be compatible with the POGO pins that you find on your Nexus 7. The Nexus 7 Dock will be priced at 3,480 Yen, which will translate to about $40 USD.
As you can see from the picture above, the dock will also feature a 3.5mm headset jack, which is a convenient feature to have if you watch movies or listen to music on your tablet a lot. I’ll be picking one up as soon as it is released, so stay tuned for a review.

Well, you could have a MHL HDMI adapter plugged in and route that connection into your receiver or switch. It could also be used as an alarm clock with sound outputting to something a little fancier than a tiny speaker chirping at you. You could mount it in your car or inset in a wall and use it to control your home automation setup, Control4′s video camera, intercom, device that they use is bulkier than this and costs over 2 grand. What really is the point tho? You could just grab some crayons and live in pretend land….. Choices, Evolution of technology and upward mobility. Some people don’t want to live like cavemen with your gross fingers touching the same gross switches as you other commoners, so it’d be nice to have an easily powered device dock available with sound out so when I want to finish watching Cars 2 I can simply grab it off of the wall to deuce, drop it on a mounted dock next to the toilet and the sound picks up from there I can take my time and enjoy the race. Then when everything is copoosthetic, just stick it back in the wall and sit my fat ass back down in the couch to type out a diatribe to some poor unimaginative shmuck asking open ended Fox News interview style questions and smerk a berl
