Tha Icon Changer
A great number of you guys know our good friend and icon creator, Tha Phlash. He constantly delivers new, innovative and creative icons that we all want and love for our devices. Heck, you can even use them on your PC if you want. He has an icon app named Tha Icon Ultimate that gives you direct and instant access to thousands of icons and designs. Traditionally you pick up the icon pack you are in love with, then download it, then use a home replacement launcher like Nova or ADW to replace individual icons on your homescreen. Needless to say, that is a HUGE undertaking. Sure, we don’t mind putting in the hours of labor to make our home screens look just how we want, but there has to be an easier way. Now there is.

Let us introduce you to Tha Icon Changer. The latest and greatest themeing app developed by Dcombl and Ben Lee with the help of Tha Phlash. For the first time ever, that we are aware of, you now have an app that can instantly change the look and style of your icons at the press of a few buttons. Seriously, it is that friggin easy. You only need four steps -

* Browse to folder with icons
* Select icons to use in themes
* Wait for the theme to be built
* Install theme (or overwrite)

The app will take any Tha Icon pack you have available in your device, build you a theme for it and then all you have to do is apply it to your device. This means app drawer icons as well. It works with all the popular home replacement apps: Go Launcher, ADW & ADW Launcher EX, Apex and Nova.

No more painstakingly going through each icon on your home screen and replacing it with a different one. No more seeing a custom and beautiful icon on your home screen, to only find the original in the app drawer. Don’t believe us that it is that easy? Check out the video of how quick and easy it is to create your icon theme and apply it the most popular home replacement apps.

It requires Android 2.2 and up to use, as well as one of the above mentioned home replacement apps. There is also a special note about Tha Phlash icons. When you download those packs you get a 72 x 72 and a 200 x 200 set of icons. If you have a slower older device, it is highly recommended that you use the 72 x 72 icon size. If you are sporting a newer, faster device, you can use the 200 x 200. It just might take a little bit longer to build the theme.

Pretty much amazing really. If you are a Tha Phlash icon fan, or are just tired of setting up your home screen icons every week, this is the app for you. Share it with your friends, blast it across the social feeds, tell the world. While you are doing that, you can pick up the new Tha Icon Changer app in the Play Store by clicking or scanning the QR code down below.

I am the proud father of three, 3, 9, and 12. I recently upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S3 to the Sony Xperia Z. Having so many kids warranted a change of pace. Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

    That’s really cool!!!

    I already bought the icons. Don’t use them though since they are such a pain in the assignment to apply. The icon packs should already have the ability to auto apply like most other icon packs do. Shouldn’t have to buy another 5 dollar app to do it.

      He could take the time to make each a theme for a charge in the Play Store, like most. But he doesn’t have the time or the need to do it.
