[Rumor] HTC Myst, the Facebook phone, making the rumor mill Again

HTC Myst Facebook phone
Did you think that the rumored Facebook phone from HTC would fizzle out and die? We sure hoped it would. Apparently not. Even after HTC denied its existence and Facebook followed suite, it has managed to crop back up again. This time rearing its head in a tweet from @LlabTooFer. Calling out the HTC Facebook phone as the MYST_UL, former OPERA_UL, and claiming it is headed to AT&T. There was even a list of specs to look out for.

  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8930 S4 Plus dual-core processor at 1GHz per core
  • Qualcomm Adreno 305 GPU
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 16GB of internal memory
  • 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels
  • 5-megapixel main camera
  • 1.6-megapixel front camera
  • WLAN 802.11 a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0

Don’t forget the illustrious Facebook button that would launch the Facebook app for you.

We think HTC would have more success with a Google+ phone. Seriously, we know you guys would buy a device with a Google+ button on it, just because. Not with the specs above though. So again, this mysterious device surfaces with talks. We will believe it when we see it. We are pretty sure with HTC suffering in the sales department, the ChaCha and Salsa devices not being chart toppers and Facebook not being a huge winner in the Android world, that this MYST device won’t ever see the light of day.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
