Microsoft attacks Google Gmail again, don’t get Scroogled

Fridays are for fun and boy did we come across a fun one. Looks like the Microsoft Scroogled site put up a new video going after Google for targeted ads in your GMail account. Microsoft is warning everyone that Gmail cruises through all your emails in order to target advertisements to your screen. They were even nice enough to include a quote towards the end of the video from Eric Schmidt -

  • There is what I call the creepy line. The Google policy on a lot of things is to get right up to the creepy line and not cross it.

The Scroogled website is urging users to sign a petition to tell Google to knock it off. Of course they also have a link in there to give Outlook.com a try. Seems like a pretty terrible marketing strategy to me. If you want to check out the video visit Scroogled.com. If for no other reason that to see how much they hate GMail. Fun stuff right there.
