VoIP and messaging app, Viber has been updated on iOS and Android, and has also launched a desktop app. Viber allows users to text, call, and send photos and video messages for free using 3G or Wifi.

Starting with the Android updates, Viber brings a number of  ‘Holo’ interface and design changes. Users can also transfer live calls between Android and the desktop app, send video messages and can now add captions to photo and video messages. Of course the updates bring some cross platform commands across the desktop and Android devices as well.

The desktop app brings a lot of the functionality of Skype, with some added messaging features. The app delivers some new video calling capabilities, text and photo messages, group conversations and syncing between mobile and desktop.

Viber 3.0 can be downloaded on Google Play and the desktop app can be downloaded on the company website.
