Billed as the ultimate marriage of a DSLR camera and a smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy NX is set to add a new dimension to the world of photography.
With a 4.8“ HD Super Clear LCD screen, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (+ microSD upto 64GB), LTE, HPSA+, Wifi a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5 GHz) and a 4,360 mAh battery; you’d be forgiven if you thought I was listing specs for a new phone. But then there is the camera; a 20.3 Mega Pixel/APS-C CMOS sensor with a Xenon flash. The Samsung Galaxy NX is also compatible with any lens from the Samsung NX DSLR range.
This camera has 2 modes depending on the user. The auto mode; which will intelligently pick which shooting mode to use from the 30 odd built in pre-sets, or the manual “expert mode” which has more advanced features for the professional to control every aspect of the camera. Now I’m not a professional photographer, hell I make do with the camera on my Galaxy S3. But the Auto Mode on the Galaxy NX makes it easy for even complete n00bs like me to take amazing pictures. It figures out the lighting conditions, scenario etc, and switches to the perfect shooting mode required to take fantastic looking pictures
With a shutter speed of 1/6000 of a second, this camera is fantastic for shooting fast moving targets, and the zenon flash to handle low light conditions. With a dedicated chipset for handling the image processing, Samsung are ensuring you can shoot as much as you want, as fast you want.
