Nexus 5 Service Manual Leaks Out Giving Us Images and Confirmed Specs

Seems that the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 keep getting leaked out on the weekends as of late, and we got a nice little treat for you Androidians looking forward to the next Nexus. Today, we get a service manual leak for the Nexus 5, giving us all kinds of images and specs. A lot of the specs rumored before are now confirmed here if this leak is legit.

The service manual is for model number LG-D821, and it was leaked out by an anonymous tipster. Flow charts, diagrams, and even images of the phone itself have all been leaked out just to make your Android mouth water. Let’s look at the specs first:

  • 4.95″ 1080p display (IPS TFT for those interested)
  • 32GB internal storage (other capacities not specified)
  • 2GB RAM
  • MSM8947 aka Snapdragon 800 at 2.3GHz
  • 8MP OIS rear camera, 1.3MP front camera
  • 2300mAh battery
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass, Proximity/Ambient Light, Pressure
  • Slimport compatibility
  • Micro SIM slot
  • Notification light
  • Wireless charging
  • NFC
  • Bluetooth 3.0 (We assume this is an error – after all the document is still a “draft version” according to its last page)
  • UMTS/GSM/CDMA/LTE compatibility

The 8 MP camera might make some of you wince, but that Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHZ processor might spill out some hope. You can take a gander at all the images provided here, and hopefully it will help you decide whether or not you want to even think about purchasing the new flagship. The full manual is also provided below for you to sift through as well.

Been an Android nerd since the G1 days. I believe I hacked and flashed that phone into dust. Currently sport a Nexus 5 sized bulge in my pocket, which I am absolutely loving. I also host and produce The ManDroid Show every week and love talking Android to whoever wants to talk about it. So let's talk!

Besides the battery size, this will be very nice!

Did I read that correctly about CDMA compatibility? Maybe Verizon is finally getting some much needed nexus love.

Don’t get your hopes up! Verizon will never see another Nexus…They don’t deserve to!!!

      Cdma sprint bands.

  • Larry Hook

I’m hoping that cdma also includes sprint. I get amazing lte coverage here and love the unlimited data, but being on a non-nexus for the first time in a long time just isn’t working out for me.

Looks like they got the dimensions wrong as well, in the leaked picture it was clearly 131.9X68.2mm…

The moto x gets like 24 hours battery life at 2200 mAh, battery size isn’t everything it depends a lot on how well software is optimized.

The FCC tests were on the LG-D820 and this is the manual for the LG-D821. So, what is different about the the LG-D820 version?

Answer: the LG-D820 seems to be the “USA” version (supporting U.S. frequencies) and the LG-D821 seems to be the “international” version. This particular model’s LTE bands (1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 20) are optimized for Asia and Europe.

    See frequency support here:
