Official: Toshiba Folio 100 Coming in Q4

Previously known as the Toshiba SmartPad, the Folio 100 has been announced by Toshiba today and will be coming in Q4. In an official press release, Toshiba announced that the Folio 100 will be featuring Android 2.2 running on a Tegra 2 based processor. Tomorrow can't come soon enough as Samsung is set to formally announce the Galaxy Tab in Berlin just before IFA kicks off on the 3rd. Verizon to Get the Samsung Galaxy Tab

As you can see in the image below, it is clear that this Android-powered tablet is headed for Verizon. Yesterday, we brought you images of the Samsung tablet with a CDMA label above it placed next to a Motorola Droid X. It looks like the O2 Dell Streak in the UK will soon be receiving Android 2.1. O2 confirmed that their Dell Streak owners in the UK will begin receiving Android 2.1 as early as Wednesday September 1st. The update should hold you over until Froyo arrives later this year, which will definitely be a step up from Android 1.6.
