Ah yes, Google TV. Who would not want some Android on your beautiful flat screen TV? Only thing is…it was not that great. Google TV really did not take off as well as it should have, and many wondered if it was ever going to make a comeback. Well leave to LG to try to bring on that comeback, with three new models of TVs that will sure catch your eye.

LG plans on releasing a 42″, 50″, and a 60″ model with newly enhanced Google TV software on each of them. If that does not sound pretty enough, these new models will feature an edge to edge display, currently mimicked on the Razr M. Not to mention the screens will be some of the thinnest screens out there, so you got an edge to edge display and super thin frame to bring you a TV you will not be able to take your eyes off of. Google TV 3.0 was also been thrown out there, which details are scarce. I would imagine voice recognition would be included, and would hope that it would have the buttery smoothness of Jelly Bean.

So would you guys be interested in these new TVs? Is Google TV a thing of the Past? Let us know what you think.

Google TV is best as a standalone device. Keep it at AppleTV prices, but with the Nexus frequent upgrades and we can talk. Especially if they give it easy storage expansion. Then I wouldn’t mind the headache of setting up yet another gizmo for my parents.
