ScubaStebe’s Recommended Game

From now on, every week, I’ll try to give a recommendation for one of the games on special, in case you can’t make your mind up.

This week’s recommendation is House of Hell.

House of Hell is an interactive book game by Tin Man Games; for those of you who used to read Goosebumps and other ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ books will know what what I’m talking about. These interactive books are amazingly written and pretty much capture the essence of those books of yesteryear with all new themes and stories. I’ve been playing/reading the new Judge Dredd interactive book also by Tin Man Games this week and I have to say that Tin Man Games knows what’s what when it comes to these adventure books.

Sure, it’s not exactly what you’d normally call a ‘game’, but with some RPG aspects, decision making, and costing less than you’d pay for an actual book, House of Hell would be a great choice to snuggle up with this weekend.

Honourable Mentions: World of Goo, AVP: Evolution

If you pick something up and like it, or know of a game that’s not on the list of cheap games, let us know in the comments.
