There is always some sort of sale running when a holiday hits here in the U.S. Be it Presidents Day sales, Labor Day Sales or even Valentines Day. Stores know it is just another excuse to have a sale and get your money. Funny thing is, it works every time. We know Sprint is doing [...]
Owners of the T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4G who’ve felt a little left out due to the lack of Ice Cream Sandwich availability for the device will soon be thankful for a developer who goes by the name of xboarder56. If you’ve done any dabbling in the rooting and ROM’ing business for your Amaze in the XDA [...]
Many carriers have offered and added in location-based services to their product line up. I know Sprint has had a similar service for a while now. Letting you pull up the location of a device and the associated family member that is supposed to be attached to it. T-Mobile is now entering the game with [...]
According to a report from TmoNews, six Android devices are nearing their end-of-life status. Assuming there’s any truth to this internal screengrab posted by David, we’ll be saying goodbye to T-Mobile’s two top-tier HTC Android phones, the Amaze 4G and the myTouch 4G Slide. Additionally coming to the end of their run, the HTC Sensation 4G, the [...]
In the mobile world that we live in looks are just as important as features. Over the last 6 months to a year I can only peg down a few devices that looked good, in my opinion, and offered something new. I don’t mean a small increase in processor speed, or larger HD screen either. [...]
Many of us already have our devices rooted and are able to tether our phones to any desktop, laptop, tablet, or even someone’s phone to use our data signal. Carriers really do not like that ability to some “hot spotting” for free, so they do offer the HotSpot service for a few pennies out of [...]
It was a fun ride worrying about what would happen with T-Mobile and AT&T. Many of us were upset and against the whole idea. Seems we weren’t the only ones since the government stepped in and denied the merger. Just because the deal fell through, doesn’t mean T-Mobile lost out though. In the end the [...]
Fellow T-Mobile customers will be glad to hear that the Wall Street Journal reported that AT&T and T-Mobile have asked the FCC for approval for a 1 billion dollars worth of AT&T’s AWS spectrum to be transferred to T-Mobile. T-Mobile was already promised part of AT&T’s sprectrum after the merger debacle that failed. “This additional [...]
Earlier today we saw that AT&T is looking to slightly revamp their data plans just around the corner. Although the slight upgrade in data limits for a meager $5 is nice, it isn’t all that amazing. I do have to hand it to them for including mobile hotspots and tethering to the $50 a month [...]
Today Roam mobility has started offering Canadians a U.S voice and data roaming service and have partnered with T-Mobile to offer it. How this works is Canadians can purchase a resusable phone, data hotspot device or a SIM card from Roam and have not only affordable rates in the US but also a US phone [...]
Welcome loyal fans of The ManDroid Show. I thank you as always for tuning in to another episode. As much as I wanted to be at CES I couldn’t make it. We did our best to cover it as much as possible and there will still be more to come next week. CES articles ICS [...]
Wind Mobile is the latest Canadian Carrier to carry the Galaxy Nexus. On Wind Mobile’s website they have this Ice Cream Sandwich running smartphone listed as coming soon. Verbatim it says “Hold tight, this product is on its way. Check back soon!”. What makes this particularly interesting is that Wind mobile operates on AWS (Advanced Wireless Services), as does Cricket, [...]
When I hear about T-Mobile expanding their HSPA+ network, it makes me happy. Happy in ways that I do not care to go into detail with. At CES T-Mobile talked about 4G expansion, rate plans, and two new 4G phones. One being a WP7 so we will skip that and talk about the Samsung [...]
If you’re in that group of people who still haven’t picked up a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and you’ve got $560 to spare, you may want to direct your attention to today’s “steal” from DailySteals.com. For today only, you can pick up an unlocked 16GB GSM version of the G-Nex, the world’s first phone to ship [...]
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged three former Deutsche Telekom executives with bribery of government officials. The charges go back to 2005 and 2006 when government officials in Macedonia and Montenegro. The reported transfer was about $6.3 million to Macedonia officials disguised as consulting and marketing contracts. SEC also found the same execs in 2005 paid nearly $9.5 million to third-party consultants in four [...]
