If you are rooted then you have probably or are currently, running a CyanogenMod build of Android. Even some of the other ROM’s out there are CM based and offer the theme chooser app built right in. Either way, you could probably use some themes to keep your Android addiction new and fresh. Team Carbon has your back in that category. They have been around for years and have created quite the portfolio of themes for you to choose from. Like these bad boys,

These themes aren’t just built exclusively for CM though. They will work on AOKP, Paranoid Android and any ROM that offers up the Theme Chooser app. That is, all the NextGen themes will. Then you have all the CM 7 themes. Not sure how many people are still running a CM build that old, but there might be some of you out there.

I have perused the 18 pages of themes they offer and see that some of them haven’t been updated with the new $0.99 special price, so you might have to check back on those. This special is running from now through the end of May. That should give you plenty of time to snag up a few at a good price tag. AOKP/CM10 THEME: Ingress. Theme your Phone After the Popular Game

The popular portal game, Ingress, certainly has made its mark in the Android world. I never bothered to give it a shot, simply because I probably would not get any work done if I did. With that though, a nice little developer by the name of giannisgx89 has brought the look of Ingress in a new AOKP/CM10 THEME. It does not bring you portals, but it sure does look pretty.

This theme will also work if you are still running CM9. It does cost $1.89 in the Play Store, but there is that 15 minute window where you can see if you like it or not. Let us know if you plan on downloading it, and how much you like it.

[THEME] Azuro Metalico – Theme Chooser

Azuro Metalico, sounds so damn exotic, well, it is domestic, but it is pretty freaking sweet. Azuro Metalico is a theme developed and released by Senor JatX2wnE for those with the CM Theme Chooser baked into the Rom they’re running. At the moment I’m rolling some good ole AOKP and my device is happy to be rolling with some Azuro. A blue based them, the feeling I get when looking through my device is that of calm peacefulness, yes, peacefulness, its sweet. With shades of blue and metallic silver streaming through my device around every turn there is a new view on the calming excitement that the many shades of blue brings to the table. This theme was stupid easy to install as well. If you are rooted and rommed there is a great possibility you have some version of the Theme Chooser app baked into what your running, and applying the themes is as easy as pick, choose, apply, reboot…profit. This is a tmobile theme engine theme in order to use this theme you must be rooted and have the tmobile theme engine which is included in most custom roms.

This is a blue and metallic theme that will customize most of your device including most all system apps and some third party apps.

Be sure to check out the Azuro Metalico Launcher theme if you are interested in having your icons themed to match this theme it can be found on the market free

***NOTE*** This theme utilizes new code that has been incorporated into alot of custom roms that allows for inverted MMS and Contacts if your rom does not have this code then these apps will not be inverted. Contacts should not present any issues wether your rom has this code or not. MMS I have tried my best to accomodate both sides but if your rom does not have this code you may run into text issues if this occurs to you please email me and i will send an apk that does not have inverted mms.

When applying the theme you may recieve a dialog stating this theme is missing assets for your device, this is OK, it is not an issue with the theme, apply theme anyway reboot and enjoy.

Also when applying the theme both the market and systemui may force close, systemui will restart in a few seconds, neither of these will fc again it ONLY occurs when applying the theme.

Install Instructions
1. Install apk
2. Go to theme chooser select system theme and reboot
3. Go to theme chooser select Azuro and reboot
4. Enjoy the theme

#Ceethroo #Innovative, these are just a couple of the tags you will stumble on if you go searching for @B-boytm‘s theme, Ceethroo. This is a cool ass theme. Look through the glass through the back of many of your favorite apps, Dialer, Contacts, Dropbox (one of my faves), even comes with it’s own sleek font. I must say, I’m enjoying it and I’ve only been on it for about 45 minutes. Hell, it only took 5 for me to know I would like it. Here are some shots from my pocket fish, the Toro (Gnex)…

What do you think? Sick right, I know I said it once already, but I love it.

So, how do you go about getting yourself a copy? Good Q…download it from >>>HERE<<<. But remember, this is still technically a beta theme. I’ve been playing with it for a while now and I am totally happy with it as it is. Were it to ship like this, I imagine there would be a ton of really happy campers out there.

So what do we know about this guy B-Boy, we know he’s a master of the background, is teamed up with Team Baked, is a highly recommended seller on the Play Store with downloads all over the place. On this theme alone, which hasn’t got the green light all the way yet, he has gotten more than 40 hours into this recent masterpiece, AND offers a ton of his hard work up for free. Blows my mind. If you can, pick up the Donate copy of his work from the play store. The buck or so he charges isn’t much for the time and effort put forth and while the donations are never expected they are always welcomed. Its kind of a small pat on the back letting them know they’re moving in the right direction and that there is someone out there that enjoys their work enough to hook em up.

[CM10 Theme] Uber Grape Jelly Theme, bringing back the Purple

I have had a heck of a time trying to find a purple theme out there! Even though we have upgraded from Ice Cream Sandwich, it seems all the themes are still stuck in that blue frame of mind. Don’t get me wrong, I like the ICS blue, but I wanted something purple. If I haven’t said it enough, I’m all about the dark and inverted colors. While I can roll Baked Black Bean and all its customizations ’til the wheels fall off, there’s just something about a theme that gives your device that extra kick.

After countless hours of searching and finding nothing that was a must have, I resorted to posting a request for a purple theme on XDA and Uber suggested I try his Grape Jelly. Uber has a few different themes. Purple, red, blue, pink, and white. His Uber Jelly is free while the others are a very low price of $1.50, which I gladly would have paid more. The best part about his purple theme would be the ICONS!! While I think Drive and Voice should be themed, he did include a few surprising extras like Photobucket, Chrome, Dropbox, Facebook, and SuperSu. The status bar alerts are even themed, along with the stock keyboard. Although I can’t positively say, I’m sure there are others I don’t use. All I can say is the Grape Jelly compliments my inverted style nicely.

Ubers themes can be found in the Play Store, he has a few various color options to choose from such as Pink, Red, Phantom and of course the original Jelly. If you head over to his XDA thread you can you can find other add-ons, goodies and Lockscreen zips for ZIpThemer. He maintains the thread quite regularly, includes lots of instructions for the additional goodies and is quite prompt at answering your questions. Go check them out, you won’t be sorry!
