The Desire, HTC’s high-end beautiful smartphone that launched yesterday, has its first home set: T-Mobile UK. The word on the street is that T-Mobile UK will launch this phone on March 26. After Tmo, Orange UK gets their turn. Orange UK will offer this phone for free on select qualified monthly plans. Rumors peg their release to be sometime in April . No word from Orange on the final unsubsidized price or which plans qualify for the full reduction. Orange plans to add their own Orange Maps, Orange TV, Photography, Games, and Orange Windows Live services.
As a recap, the HTC Desire comes with following features:
- 1GHz Snapgragon processor
- 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
- 5-megapixel camera with LED flash
- Android 2.1
- Quadband GSM/EDGE
- Dualband (900/2100) UMTS/HSPA
- WiFi, Bluetooth
- GPS/AGPS
