The guys over at WireFly strike again. This time they have a created a nice little comparison between the Droid Incredible and the Motorola Droid. Let’s hope they get a good video review online soon too.
This just in: The much anticipated HTC Incredible is officially going to market as the DROID Incredible by HTC, and will launch April 29th. As the third member of Verizon’s growing DROID family, the DROID Incredible joins the DROID Eris by HTC and DROID by Motorola. Three is a manageable number, but let’s hope there isn’t another DROID offspring for a little while or this whole thing could become a bit confusing…
Is there really a comparison? HTC Sense, Faster Processor, Better Camera…What more do you want?
Head over to WireFly now and check out the full comparison.

You’re the laziest blogger that I’ve ever seen. What the hell is this? Some people would prefer the Droid on account of its physical keyboard.
Yea… I agree. Not because I just agree, but because its the truth. This is the dumbest shit ever and a waste of my time and it was number one on google search. I would much prefer having a phone that takes dvd quality video, a processor which is slower, but not noticably slower (which is funny how that was one of the things he says is why you should get the incredible over the droid), and yea the physical keyboard. Id rather not be forced to use my screen for every key stroke. Fail of an answer. I hope you get slapped today.

I dont think its lazy, its a no brainer.. the only thing the motorola could have up on the incredible is the physical keyboard which is individual preference, but considering moto’s keyboard is a 97% worthless hunk plastic with the resemblence of what buttons should be… its a no brainer
I don’t agree. I have a Droid and the camera makes no difference to me, I rarely use mine. I don’t like Sense, I use custom ROM’s, and the keyboard is one of my favorite things about the phone. The keys are are big for my big fingers. The physical keyboard is the reason I got the Droid.
Lets be serious, I have the Droid, the keyboard isnt great but once you spend a week with it, it works great. The 8MP camera over a 5MP for anyone that knows anything about cameras is only going to be important for people blowing up there pictures to over 36″ X 24″. I actually used my droid to take pics and video of my daughters birth and I have a picture in my livingroom that is 16″ X 20″ and it looks flawless from Mpix. As far as sense a lot of these incredible users are going to be pissed when Moto has flash in a month or 2 and Sense isnt updated until (well ever) November or so. Snapdragon processor not that important over Droids (2) processors, only gives about 200 MHZ more power. Screen quality, Droid has better resolution Incredible has Amoled (basically Sony and Samsung in TV’s, ones more vivid ones more true color). So it is basically your preference. If you like sense, get the incredible, if you cant use the virtual keyboard all the time, get the Droid, everything else is minimal if any difference.

Devour is not under the Droid brand.
The Motorola Devour is a Droid.

Correction, there are not 4 members of the Droid family. The devour is not considered. Hence the name Droid being in the names. The Devour isn’t even comparable to the Droid family. The Devour was released after all of these Droids and yet still the Devour run off of Android 1.6 whereas the Droid family runs off of Android 2.0 or higher.

Correction, there are 4 members of the Droid family. The Droid family means the phone is running Android. The Devour was released with 1.6 but so were the Eris and the Moto. After the RECENT upgrade being pushed through, now the other 2 have the current android os. Motorola/VZW are deciding whether to push the new os to the Devour. And actually the Eris has reached end of life so after they’re gone, they’re gone!!!

There are 3 members of the Droid family. A phone is not a member of the droid family unless it has Droid _______. This is a branding of specific phones by Verizon and the cell phone makers. There are 3: The Droid Eris by HTC, the Droid Incredible by HTC, and the DROID by Motorola. Also, the Eris does not run android 2.0+, the Motorola Droid and the Droid Incredible are/will run Android 2.1.

I am a current Motorola Droid owner that will soon be switching to the HTC Droid Incredible. I have had my Droid since 11/28/09 so i am no newbie to the Android system. Looking forward to the Incredible being in my hands on the 29th. Also check out http://www.HTC-Incredible.com a dedicated place for Incredible owners.

I wonder where was all this praise with hero’s sense ui. People act like sense ui just came out with the incredible. It was even on the Eris an look where that ended up. The incredible is suppose to be this great phone over the Droid but yet it really isn’t. It has no ability to go into landscape for navigation, it can’t be seen in sunlight, 8 Mega pixels can’t even be seen by the human eye so that is not a advantage. The only thing it will win in is that it has a little bit more speed. And funny nobody mentioned the great battery life. OMG, it is the weakest battery life of any phone released in The last 2 years.
