HTC Sync has been upgraded to v3.0.5422 for the European users with Android 2.1+ devices. Previously, the HTC Wildfire was the only device benefiting from HTC Sync and now the HTC Sync software is supporting devices like the HTC Hero (Android 2.1) , HTC Legend, HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire and HTC Aria.
You can use HTC Sync™ to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar or Outlook Express contacts and the bookmarks of web browser between your computer and your phone. It also lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone, and bring your photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to your phone.

I avoid the HTC phones that use / need HTC Sync. I don’t use Windows…so this ‘requirement’ is a negative at my house. I want a phone that can work as intended with any PC…..not just Windows (or Mac…if supported).
