When we first saw images of the T-Mobile G2/HTC Vision, we couldn’t figure out what the keys specified above were used for. Since the device first made its internet debut, more information has come to light across the Android community. One thing that we noticed recently in the official images leak was that this device would have an application called “Quick Keys,” allowing you to assign functions to these keys on your keyboard.

The overall keyboard looks spacious and extremely comfortable even though some of you are upset that the G2 is only coming with four rows. As the launch of this device draws near, maybe we’ll find out a little more about this little guy.

Do you like the keyboard better now with this Quick Key feature?

Depends, if the keys are rubber then this keyboard will be amazing…but if they’re plastic then its a hit or miss….I just hope it has good feedback…still excited for this phone!
ill learn to live without the 5th row. just more about it having amoled screen of some sort
Just a guess, but they look to me like home page keys. if you look closely at each of the buttons, the one on the left hand side has a slightly larger left square, the one in the middle has a slightly larger middle square and the one on the right, a slightly larger right square. My guess would be that these buttons are for comfortably scrolling through home pages when the keyboard is open so you don’t have to stretch your thumb uncomfortably far to move about on the home screen when you’re using the keyboard.
You are right, I saw the images and I was going to post the same thing, they do look like homepage keys which in all honesty seems kind of cool.
