As Gingerbread talk has been making its way around the community as we recently learned that the Gingerbread SDK would be dropping sometime this week and the first blurry image of Android’s latest treat was leaked yesterday. We’re learning now, courtesy of DigiTimes that Google has reached out to their hardware partners and stated that Android 3.0 also known as Honeycomb “will soon be completed” in hopes to have engineering prototypes by December.

CES is coming up in January, which we’re sure we’ll be getting first looks tablets from Motorola, HTC and some more Galaxy Tab devices in Vegas as CES kicks off on the 6th which wraps up on the 9th. DigiTimes has also stated that Android 4.0(?) “Ice Cream” will be launching in the middle of 2011, but of course details on that firmware version are unavailable. With future Android tablets from respected manufacturers coming down the pipes, have you changed your mind on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab?

If you keep holding to buy something now because something better is coming on the way you are never going to buy anything, specially with technology every 5 months there is something better.

Personally I think the samsung galaxy tab is really nice too bad the price

I agree the price is completely out of control on samsung tab hopefully there is a price drop soon. We are just gonna have to wait until more android tabs are on the open market then things should change price wise.

But if you do wait for the next version of Android it will have proper tablet support… which is more improvement than there will be in the 6 months following it. The important thing is to get something that is future-proof.
