Looking for a tablet that offers the best of both worlds in terms of operating systems? Then this 10” multi-touch device might just be what you are looking for.
Meet the ViewSonic ViewPad 10 – the bigger, dual-booting brother of the Android Viewpad 7. The ViewPad 10 can run either Android OS or Windows 7.
The ViewPad 10 features the following:
- Intel 1.66GHz Atom N455 processor with 1GB of RAM
- 16GB SSD
- 1024 x 600 capacitive display
- Multi-touch gestures
- WiFi b/g/n,
- Bluetooth
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- A headphone socket
- 1.3-megapixel camera
- A microSD card reader.
- Android OS 1.6 / Windows 7
Check out the hands-on video below:
The ViewPad 10 is the fastest Android Tablet around in terms of pure clock speed. Like with most Android tablets, there is no Android Market. Also, unlike its little brother, this device does not run Froyo – it runs on Android OS 1.6 only. Not sure if it will be upgradable. Hopefully it can be updated to Froyo soon.
U.K. launch of the ViewPad will be around November 15 or sooner. It is expected to go on sale with a £449 price tag. Viewsonic is offering a discount via their upgrade program HERE.

I have to get one of these.
Also, a less impulsive addition to my earlier comment:
Android 1.6 doesn’t matter, and neither does the lack of Market access. Modders will fall in love with this hardware.

I would love to have this tablet. Most applications I used deal with Windows base applications. Although android has come a long way, there are thing that Windows base I used daily that android has not developed it yet. So, until then this tablet will work for me. I am eager to get one. Thank goodness that they have a duel OS for this tablet.
Just a note for anyone excited about the 2.2 upgrade just released for the viewpad 10, it still won’t play angry birds. If anyone gets the birds going on this tablet please leave a post and how you did it.
