We had a chance to play with the LG Optimus 2X our selves during CES. Unfortunately when we attempted to run the quadrant standard application we were unable to get any results. The explanation at the time had to do with the device sporting the Tegra 2 chipset and the application didn’t support dual core processing yet. Fair enough, it is a viable and believable answer. Looks like that issue has since been resolved though, take a look at where this monstrous super phone is sitting at on a stock build.
We all know that the Quadrant Benchmark Standard is not extremely reliable as far as true speeds. We have seen some phones pulling well over 3000 before. What helps this to stand out, in my opinion, is the fact that this is still a stock build from LG and is pulling in 2391. Which makes it a little more believable. Either way, this device is still beautiful, fast and I want one like, yesterday.
Anyone else out there starting to drool over this device yet?

droooooollllll ….. Now we just need a release date ….
21st february. i will pass on this one for atrix or sth similiar with better resolution than 800×480
2369 is a respectable score but i did expect closer to 3000. My vibrant with froyo and lag fix pulls 2400 on average.
It is said that Quadrant is only benchmarking related to one processor. If that is true, then the actual benchmark for this dual processor phone is beyond awesome!
Yeah I’ve been drooling and drooling some more for a while. Does anybody know if its coming to t-mobile, that would be awesome.
i was drooling the moment i heard about this phone. anything to get rid of my samsucks viberant
[...] Well the folks over at Techblog.gr managed to get their hands on the beast of a phone and ran the Quadrant test on it. Judging by the results, it’s looking pretty impressive. Especially in the 3D graphics [...]
No drool here, my stock Nexus S is pulling 1700s and I know Im getting better battery life. Any official word yet on the Tegra 2 battery life?
im not gonna get my hopes up on this phone. Seeing that T-mobile doesn’t get any top end phones…unless the bands on the phone support T-mobile
Has anyone heard about whether this phone is 4G (HSPA+, LTE, whatever) or not? It would be a shame to handicap this phone with 3G.
FolioMod with same chipset now pulls an amazing 3400+ in quadrant benchmark out of the Tegra2 chipset.. and without any improved filesystems the lastest Nvidia drivers get it 2300+ just like this stock LG. so nothing special about it, but we can for sure push more out of the tegra2 chipset, as im doing 80+ frames in quadrant now..
