Verizon Wireless has launched a massive sale on their “DROID” line of phones. All the prices are based off a new 2 year contract, and only apply when purchasing the an unlimited data and talk plan. This new sale makes phones like the Droid R2D2 and Incredible free, and offers the Droid X at $49.99, while also offering affordable prices on other members of the Droid line.
Of course with the new Droid Bionic and HTC Thunderbolt on the way you wouldn’t figure too many people would be willing to jump in to an older device. However, it may be a nice option for parents looking to purchase their kids a smart phone, or new users to join the Android experience.

This sale is not on the verizon wireless website. Even when you click on the verizon link on this page the prices don’t match. The incredible is still $99.99 not free, where did you get your info? I have a friend that has verizon, so when I told him about this sale he was excited. But it doesn’t exist?!? Has it just not started yet? Would like to know.
