I had a dilemma. My wireless mouse was out of juice, and there were still things I needed to do on the computer. What’s a girl to do? Then I remembered I had Gmote installed. Usually, I only find a need for Gmote when I’m elsewhere in the apartment and too lazy don’t want to get up from where I am, but I recognized how the app could fit my current need. So I fired up Gmote and started using my phone’s touchscreen as a one-button mouse, and went back to my computer activities.

I had to email a project I completed for a client (huge image files required for a large print flyer) and the internet was going ridiculously slow (3KB/s on a cable connection that normally tops out between 1.5 and 2megabytes/s…there were issues) so I tethered my phone to the PC i was using and it saved the day…
