Finally one of the many rumors floating around is confirmed. TmoNews confirmed the rumor with the picture above via one of there sources. The Optimus G2X, as it’s known now, is LG’s newest dual-core, graphic eating beast. Completely stock this phone pushes out a quadrant score of 2300+, if that’s not beastly I don’t know what is. Check out the video below of a demo we captured during CES 2011.
LG Optimus G2X Quick Specs:
- Android 2.2 Froyo
- 4″ WVGA touchscreen display
- 1GHz Dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 512Mb RAM
- ULP GeForce GPU
- 8Gb internal storage, expandable to 32Gb via microSD
- 1.3Mp front-facing, 8Mp rear-facing camera with LED flash, 1080p Full HD video capture and playback
- HDMI port, HDMI Mirroring (as seen in the video above)
I want one. Now!!! =)

Looking good! i was thinking of galaxy s 4g. Guess ill wait
But will it have 4g? That’s gonna be my deciding factor between this and waiting for the next dual-core.
in the article it says completely stock…but in the video its running some sort of skin on it….if this phone is going to be apart of the “G” series then shouldn’t it be stock android? im hoping when it comes to T-Mobile theres no skin UI on it
He means its completely stock as in no custom ROM or overclocking. The Optimus does have LG’s custom UI on it but its also already rooted.
Check out the benchmark results of the Optimus 2X and the Atrix. With half the RAM the Optimus still outperforms the Atrix.

i guess the guy in the video didnt know that you dont need task killers anymore as of 2.2….
what do ya think the development community is going to be like? to me that’s going to be a deciding factor between this and the rumored htc pyramid
Glad i didn’t pick up the mytouch 4g.
