Congratulations graffixnyc, bogdi1988 and team. Hopefully you’re responsible for more break-throughs. Since this is not my forte, I’ll let the developers do the talking, straight from the XDA thread.

graffixnyc:

Ladies and Gentlemen,
After over 72 long hours and barely any sleep we now have a working Clockwork Recovery!!!

Thanks to everyone for making this happen!! As a community we did it! We came together and finally did it!

Special thanks to Koush for taking the time to chat with me and Bogdi1988.. one guy on irc told me “You should feel lucky, Koush is even talking to you about this, he ignored me for weeks” hahaha I guess he knew how close we were so we didn’t mind helping us get to the finish line! I dont know what exactly he changed for us but he put the finishing touches on it.

He added it to rom manager but there is an issue with it putting it into the wrong place so for now you must manually flash this through fastboot

AGIAN: DO NOT FLASH FROM ROM MANAGER AT THIS TIME THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THAT: MANUALLY FLASH THIS THROUGH FASTBOOT

make sure your phone is connected to the computer and you have entered fastboot mode on the phone by holding down Volume down and the power button at the same time

rename this file to recovery.img and place into the same directory as your fastboot executable (usually androidsdkfolder/tools)

open up a command prompt and navigate to the androidsdkdir/tools folder and type this in at the C prompt

fastboot devices
(to make sure you’re connected)

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Thanks to Koush, Bogdi1988, BinaryBishop, Lou, nledevil , Hellzya, KenAP, Jo (Hellzya:”hey Jo who are you?”) hahaha and everyone else that helped us get this done!!!!!

LET IT BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

disclaimer: I am NOT responsible if you brick your phone trying to flash recovery. flash at YOUR OWN RISK

thank you koush for bearing with us tonight and fixing it for us!

Dell Streak 7 owners feel free to continue hacking and slashing through your device, just be sure to back up every now and then so as to retain the infinite amount of opportunities. Have fun. =)

[While we support development, we do not take responsibility for anything that happens to your device upon flashing software. If your device gets bricked, your dog eats it, or it self-destructs, we're throwing our hands up. Not in celebration of course, however if that last thing happens get it on video. It would make a nice post. Have fun. =)]

I'm an avid technology lover. My first Android device was a G1; I fell in love (except for the battery), next I got a Samsung Captivate; error in judgment on my behalf, now I've moved on to the MyTouch 4G; which I absolutely love. What started with me just needing some kind of phone to use, i.e. free G1, ended with a new addiction.... I also enjoy long walks on the beach and luxurious bubble baths.... Oh wait.

Hey! I have a question… I already followed your instructions. But I need to know if Dell Streak 7 should reboot itself or should I pin the reset button near SD Card? I looked at CMD. It said Finished. Total time: 1.108s.

I tried to installed SuperOneClick and it kepts on rebooting so I decided to wipe tablet and user so I can try again with SOC but ClockWorkMode popped up at boot. I didn’t know what to do… tried recovery, wipe data factory… doesn’t work. My heart is BEATING!!! how do I boot to normal window???
