London Drugs? Android? What’s the connection here? Is there one? Upon first reading the promotion I’ll admit it sounded a bit iffy. However, it’s the real deal, and if you find that your a frequent London Drugs shopper then this may be for you, purchase any Android device on TELUS and sign up for a 3-year contract and receive a $100 gift card to the store.
It’s really not quite as strange it may seem because apparently the store offers a variety of electronics and offers TELUS powered devices as well as the service, which helps makes this a bit easier to understand. Even as I realize those facts it still sounds weird to me. A $100 gift card to a drug store with the purchase of an Android device from TELUS. How many people decide upon buying a phone decide that they need medication? I think this should be an iPhone promotion as I think I’d have to be in a sickened state upon purchasing one, and would more than likely require treatment.
Anyone going to take advantage of this promotion?
Think it’s weird?
Let us know.

Honestly speaking, $100 gift card from London Drugs for a 3 year contract with any Android phone is a crap deal. Telus isn’t exactly the first choice to go to for best phone plans. (Wind and Mobilicity has way better plans, no contracts… albeit with some connection issues…) and offers MUCH better android devices than London Drugs (ie: Google Nexus S).
So NO. $100 London Drugs gift card on a 3 year contract with any (of the crappy selections) of Android phones that London Drugs offers is a crap deal. It’s a weird combination, and it’s not the most economical choices to go for.
