Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Kernel Source Released

4

Good news came to the early adopters on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 as root was obtained, although the limited edition had already achieved this feat a while back. With root and a plethora of developers ready and waiting what else do you need? The kernel source Samsung just released for the new slate might be a good place to start. As we’ve seen from the many other devices the kernel source is what allows us to blow through quadrant with crazy overclocked processors and tweaks that enhancement the performance and stability of the device overall. It’s nothing that just anyone one can do as the files will be useless for the average Joe, but developers can take these and make your device even better than it already is.

Having said that, I want a single file line, no pushing or shoving. Head over to the Samsung Open Source Developer site and grab a copy.

I'm an avid technology lover. My first Android device was a G1; I fell in love (except for the battery), next I got a Samsung Captivate; error in judgment on my behalf, now I've moved on to the MyTouch 4G; which I absolutely love. What started with me just needing some kind of phone to use, i.e. free G1, ended with a new addiction.... I also enjoy long walks on the beach and luxurious bubble baths.... Oh wait.
