The boys at GO Launcher Developer Team have bumped up their pretty launcher from 2.55 beta to fully working operational 2.55. Oh is it so beautiful and satisfying. Go launcher, in my opinion, is going to be ahead of the pack in the war of launchers in no time.
Changes include:
4 new home screen transitions
Improved restore option of hiding notification bar
Improved support screen rotation of first installation
Improved user experience of dragging operation
The four new screen transitions are like none I’ve seen before. Binary star, chariot, shutter, and chord, have been added to provide a unique and just awesome screen scrolling experience. Another very awesome upgrade is the ability to place an icon or folder on any home screen without actually having to go to that screen. Check out the video below from a fellow YouTuber of the launcher on his HTC EVO 3D.
Yeah, the video is on the beta version that was released last week, but as you can see it ran smooth on his phone. That’s what it’s looking like on my phone. It seems like it’s extra zippy too, but maybe its just placebo effect. Each new update is like Christmas morning and I can’t wait for the next. Your move LauncherPro and ADW!
Been an Android nerd since the G1 days. I believe I hacked and flashed that phone into dust. Since then I jumped onto the G2 and now rocking the totally awesome HTC One S. I also host and produce The ManDroid Show every week and love talking Android to whoever wants to talk about it. Long Live Android!
