New Sponsors hop on board the Big Android BBQ Train, total sponsors now at 27!

The Big Texas Android BBQ is one of those events that you have to attend if you can all make it happen. I know our leader Simon Walker will be there as the AndroidSPIN liaison and I am still trying to get my self down there as well. It is the single largest community created, yearly event, ever. Last year went off with out a hitch and had a great turn out. This year is shaping up to be quite an event. With the BBQ only a few weeks away, you better hurry and get your tickets.

As the event nears closer, we just got word of some new sponsors that have jumped on board to help out. The latest additions include Verizon, Swappa, Adobe and Orbotix. That brings the total number of mobile orientated sponsors to 27! To put that into perspective, that is more than four times the support last years event had.

Aaron Kasten, the event organizer, had a few things to say about this announcement -

“With companies like Verizon, Adobe, Swappa and Orbotix coming on board with us, it shows the world that the BBQ is the real deal, that they realize we are serious about bringing together the Android Community with them in one place.  I am really excited about the idea of a normal everyday Android user being able to meet with some experts from Adobe and talk shop.  That is not a thing that can happen every day.  I am really pleased with our sponsor corps and the progress the volunteer staff has made in bringing these companies on board.”

It looks like this years event will definitely be an amazing one to attend. How many of you are going to be there this year? There is still time to snag tickets to the event. Head on over to bigandroidbbq.com to get them now and if you are curious what companies are now involved, check out the sponsors page.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
