Samsung Announces the Galaxy S II HD LTE, she’s a Beaut

If you have been sitting around patiently waiting to get the money up to order a Samsung Galaxy S II now that it has finally hit the states, we should let you know, it is old news already. Samsung has just announced their next variant in the Galaxy S II line, the HD LTE.

The SGS II HD LTE will be sporting a whopping 4.65″ display with a resolution of 1280 X 720. That translates into 316 pixels per inch. The device will also be housing full LTE support. Other than those 2 variables between its other variants, you will still find a dual-core 1.5GHz chipset and 1 GB of RAM. Not to mention the 8MP camera and 1080p video recording support.

On to the rumor mill. There are two possibilities in regards to this device hitting U.S. soil. The first is mentioned by the source, IntoMobile. This could potentially be the next Nexus device. Judging from what I have heard from a few other sources, I doubt it. I have heard that the next Nexus device is not turning out to be the leader of the pack this year. The second option, this could very well be the device that Verizon was holding off for. Since they were the only carrier to not announce a supported Glaxay S II device and this HD variant supporting LTE, lead me to think so.

No matter what rumor you believe is true, there is no question that if or when it does hit the U.S., Verizon would be the likely carrier to push the device to consumer hands. What are your thoughts guys? If we find out this is coming any time soon, will you hold onto your money and pick up the SGSII HD LTE?
