 ADWLauncher EX

ADWLauncher Ex is arguably one the best homescreen launcher replacement applications available for the Android platform. Today, it got a little more awesome with a major update from developer ANDERWEB, bringing forth a complete Ice Cream Sandwich overhaul, and giving you a taste of Android 4.0 before you can officially get it for your phone.

Here’s a look at what was included in the update, which brings us up to version 1.3.3.5:

  1. New Dockbar:
  2. Unlimited icons with paginated scrolling
  3. Options stretch,scale,reflections,etc…
  4. Double tapp dock icons to edit
  5. Better folders:
  6. Drag icon over another one to auto create a folder
  7. Visual representation of folder contents with theming support
  8. Options to choose how the folder contents scroll and behave like you do with the app drawers
  9. Single/multi row auto fitting support
  10. Easier visualization of desktop and drag operations
  11. New desktop indicator inspired by ICS
  12. More to come!!

Chris, from Phandroid, made a nice little discovery that might make you want to hold off before you rush to the Market and buy this one (if you haven’t already). According to Anderweb, the app will be one of the many being featured in the “10 Days of $0.10 Apps” promotion running now in the Market.

ADWLauncher EX will normally run you $3.32, but at a mere ten cents, you’d be a fool not to pick this one up when it’s available during the promotion. We’ll keep our eyes out and remind you when it pops up, then it’ll be your job to go download it.

If you already own and run this wonderful launcher app, hit up the Android Market for your update by clicking the link below. Cheers!

Summary and Downloads:

Application: ADWLauncher Ex
Developer: AnderWeb
Cost: $3.32

UPDATE:

It looks like another update just came through in the Android Market, bringing us to version 1.3.3.55. Here’s what was included:

  1. When you trigger the “hide/show dockbar” action/gesture, the new status will be remembered until you show/hide it again. Don’t like the dock? Hide it!
  2. Option to use the dock as overlay: this means your desktop will be full size and the dock will appear over it when you show it.
  3. Unlimited icons with paginated scrolling
  4. Double tapp dock icons to edit
  5. Drag icon over another one to auto create a folder
  6. Options to choose how the folder contents scroll and behave like you do with the app drawers
