Here’s another reason to wish you got in on last week’s final-swoop HP TouchPad $99 sale. scott951, from the XDA Forums, proudly posted the first official pre-alpha MIUI ROM for the device, and the progress looks to be coming along rather nicely. It’s been known for quite a while now that the CyanogenMod team has been hard at work to bring their version of Custom ROM goodness to the HP TouchPad, but now that another major ROM development team has entered the game, things will certainly get interesting from here.
Working:
- Audio/Sound
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- Touchscreen
- Charging
- All sensors
- Wired earphone/headphone
- Gallery
- YouTube
- MIUI Backup (don’t backup contacts)
- Multi-Touch
- MIUI Themes
Not Working:
- No On-Screen Menu (working on it)
- Other Random Bugs
Looking for little eye candy? How about 5:24 worth?
Now, if you’re ready to do some flashing, make a backup first and head over to scott951′s ROM thread. Remember, we’re not responsible for bricked devices, or anything else you bring upon yourself for not carefully reading the instructions. Don’t forget to hit the thanks button if you like the ROM.
Enjoy!
