If you’re a user of Google Docs, your experience is about to get a heckuva lot cooler, thanks to an update which arrived in the Android Market earlier today. The latest version is 1.0.54 and brings with it a bunch of new improvements, but the most exciting and interesting addition is definitely that of real-time collaboration. You can now see edits made to documents by other users within a matter of seconds. Not only will this add to productivity, but it looks pretty darn cool as well.
Also in this new version is a new Android-centric editor with rich text formatting (bold, italics, underline, font color, background color), layout tools (bulleted lists, numbered lists, indentation), and cursor presence and highlighting. Google really did an excellent job with this one, folks. I’m truly stoked to see what the future has in store.

Android addict would be the two words I would use to describe myself. It’s the first thing I check in the morning, and the last thing I check before bed. I’m 30 years old, my first Android phone was the G1, shortly after its launch. I have also owned a myTouch 3G, and I have a myTouch 4G, which I am absolutely in love with. Other than Android, I’m a father, brother, college student, and almost-full-time employee at a local brewery/restaurant here in the cornfields of Iowa. If there’s anything you’d like to know, please feel free to hit me up. I’m a pretty nice guy, and I respond as quickly as I can. Thanks for stopping by!
