HTC One X Stock ROM and Rooting Tools Available Before Launch

The anticipated HTC One X has not even been released yet and XDA member mike1986 has already developed a stock ROM for the device based off a leaked RUU released not to long ago. Anyone rocking a test demo device could benefit from this build, since mike1986 extracted the system image and repacked it into a recovery flasable zip file. Now since this ROM is stock, it is not quite rooted. Bummer, right? Well, there is the option for a secondary download which will add superuser and busy box, so no big deal. So any of you that have a test demo device can click the thread link below and give this a shot.

  • HTC update build 0.96.401.2
  • Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3
  • HTC Sense 4.0
  • Release status: userdebug
  • Kernel: 3.0.16
