I knew it wouldn’t take long for more ‘supposed’ details to leak out about the
Samsung Galaxy S III. The launch party is just a few weeks away, so keeping the anticipation high is key to the success of the device. With very little real information to go on,the leaks are the best thing around. According to a source over at BGR, some of the new information is making the SGS III sound larger than life. The source confirms that the SGS III will be the official device of the 2012 Summer Olympics, which we already figured was the case. This could be the reason behind the event planned for
London on May 3nd. The source also states that a simultaneous launch event could take place in New York, Dubai and Seoul. While we have yet to see anything indicating this to be the case.
What is more interesting is the larger than life details that were leaked. The SGS III will land in two memory variants, 16GB and 32GB. With that amount of memory on board, I have a feeling they could also be leaning towards a built-in battery and no SD card slot. If that is the case, it just killed my dreams of wanting one. It is also said to launch in two colors, the typical blue and black and the continually pushed white variant. Additionally, the source also revealed that the screen will actually be a 1080p HD display. Seriously? If true, that means Samsung is sure stepping it up for the ‘next Galaxy.’ The previously mentioned quad-core Exynos processor is still mentioned along with 4G LTE radio compatibility. That could put it on Verizon, AT&T or both at launch time. I wonder though, will Verizon adopt it or let it slide on past.
While I would like to believe the sources specs, I am finding it difficult to do. The processor and memory believable, it’s the 1080p display that doesn’t seem quite likely. I could be wrong though. Samsung has kept this device and anything official to do with it under pretty tight wraps this time. We are gonna file this one in the rumor bin, for now anyways.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

I would love this to be true but I have to see it to believe it you know?

I will be so pissed if they have it sealed up with no option of removable media, I have been putting off getting the sg2 for months because I have been waiting for this, but will be angry I wasted my time if they go down this road!
People complain about not having an SD card as I did too. But I now realize its actually better. How so u ask? Well when I transfer my music with my SD card in my laptop it took 145 mins to transfer a 2.3 gb file but when I hooked up my brother in laws galaxy nexus it took 20 mins to transfer a 4.2 gb file. How is this possible? But its great because its fast!!! This new galaxy fone will be my next
I think it ha a lot more to do with how people use their devices. Personally I have 16gb on board that’s always full. I have three 32gb cards that are loaded. I also have a 16gb wi-drive the full. My dropbox is nearly maxed and I have 5gb left on my 50gb from box. Loosing the use of my 3 cards will be thorn in my side.
Removing the sd slot isn’t saving us money on these devices. It’s just forcing people to the clouds. Which are great. But I’m not going to install a cloud app on a friend’s device to transfer a file and eat up both our data limits if a pc isn’t available. Be sides, I don’t trust all my stuff to be in the cloud any ways.
micro sd = more power for device to mount.
thats the reason apple hates microsd slots
That’s what I figured was apples reason for not having removable memory. But even so it still takes along time to transfer files on my friends 4s. Don’t why on my rezound it take a long time too even though its being transferred to its internal memory. I’m assuming its ICS that improves the transfer speed
Buy a faster SD card Carlos, speed has nothing to do with them removing the slot for removable…. My class 10 micro sd card gets 12MB/s just mounting usb, Im sure thats your issue
