We know some of you probably dig around the Jelly Bean system dump pulling out and all APKs you get your hands on. We sure as heck did the same thing. That’s how we found the new Play Store update that offered up Magazines, TV shows and Movie purchases. A lot of you picked that one up from us last night and today. We went back in this morning to see what other little goodies we could dig out and pulled the Google Currents APK out to see if it was newer. It was, the Play Store version as of yesterday was 1.1, and the system dump version was 1.5.1. That is a pretty major jump.  We were all excited to share that APK with the rest of you, only to find out that Currents updated in the Play Store today to the more current version :O( We were pretty bummed that we didn’t get it out to you before they updated it. That’s ok though, check out what is new in the latest update.

What’s in this version:

* User interface – updated to Android standards
* Top navigation bar – auto hide, touch to show
* Library/trending toggle – moved to navigation bar
* Performance enhancements
* Bug fixes
