More Verizon 4G LTE markets light up along with more expansion Plans

We all know that Verizon is easily the most powerful wireless carrier in the U.S. You might not like their prices, you might not like their customer service and you might hate locked bootloaders and their bloatware. We assume though that most of you like the coverage. Why else would you spend more on a monthly cell bill unless it benefited you in some fashion. It is all of you that keep paying your bills that lets Verizon keep pushing out 4G LTE across the nation faster than any other carrier. Aiming their sights at covering 400 markets before the end of the calendar year is going to be a walk in the park.

Take a gander at the list below to see if you should have or will soon see that magical 4G icon popping up on your device.

Ya, that is a huge list isn’t it. Trying to keep up with all the 4G LTE expansions and new market launches is ridiculous. After catching the list from Droid-Life, we cruised on over to Verizon’s news center to see what else they had listed. Since August 3rd they have made 12 announcements for either new 4G LTE markets or expansions. The other carriers are lucky to get a few markets or expansions out each month, let alone almost everyday. According to Verizon’s numbers, as of July 19th they had 4G LTE active in 337 markets, covering nearly 75% of the U.S. population. With plans to hit 400 markets and jump from 230 million covered to 260 million covered, you can expect to have a hard time finding normal places to be that won’t provide you with some 4G LTE speeds. Kinda creepy really.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

I think you have some of your New and Expanding markets mixed up. Houghton Michigan got 4G back in June. And I can confirm that because I was there 3 weeks ago.
