Press image leaks out for T-Mobile’s Galaxy Blaze Q, August 15th looks good to Launch

Not everyone loves a slider QWERTY keyboard Android powered device. If you remember though, that is where Android started with the infamous T-Mobile G1. Over the years the physical keyboard faded out as screens got larger and typing got easier. Now we see a small handful of physical keyboard devices come out every now and then, but their specs put them in a lower to mid range class.  It would appear that T-Mobile and Samsung are looking to push it up a little with the new Galaxy Blaze Q.

While the official specs are still not available, the rumored specs don’t sound all that terrible. Locking in a Qualcomm S4 dual-core processor at 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage Ice Cream Sandwich, a 720p HD Display and of course the five-row QWERTY keyboard hidden underneath. According to the press image that was leaked out, you also see that it has more of a Galaxy S III look with the center button as well.

As for the August 15th release date, more speculation. In the past though, press shots that get out that have a date set in the widget tend to be fairly accurate of when the announcement or the launch will take place. We have seen it in the past with previous Samsung and HTC devices. Kinda makes it fun for us and also helps get device news in.. well, the news. It also doesn’t hurt that we have seen other internal PC photos with the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q listed as launching August 15th.

While this might not be the device for everyone, it definitely will appeal to a lot of people. Those that want some more power and better specs without sacrificing the physical keyboard. It is no Galaxy S III or the rumored HTC One X+, but it has its appeal over the new myTouch device put out from Huawei. Not to mention it looks a little better, in our opinion anyways. With August 15th right around the corner, we fully expect T-Mobile to make the official announcement very soon. Then we will know if the spec rumors are true or just wishful thinking.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
