The Nexus 4 LTE debacle continues. Some have complained about it. Some have not given an absolute ounce thought about it. Then we found out that the Nexus 4 indeed does have an LTE antenna built inside it, and that people on the Band 4 network could utilize it. Canadians and some UK users were able to enjoy it, leaving US users with HSPA+. Well guess what? Turns out AT&T owns some Band 4 networks right here in the states. That might liven up some of you that were looking for some 4G lightning speed with your awesome flagship phone. Here is a list of the markets you can maybe get LTE in:

  • Phoenix
  • Raleigh
  • San Juan
  • Los Angeles
  • Las Vegas
  • Oklahoma City
  • Dallas
  • Chicago
  • Charlotte
  • Athens, GA
  • College Station, TX

So yes, even though they own Band 4 spectrum in those cities does not exactly mean you can access it. Some have been lucky, so it does not hurt to try it out. Let us know if you can.
