Samsung’s $1 Billion Damages Fine From Apple Case Reduced To $598 Million

Samsung Vs Apple

The landmark trial between Samsung and Apple over patent infringements is back in the spotlight today after Judge Koh’s latest action. The last time Samsung and Apple were in the news together, it was over a trial that resulted in Samsung having to pay Apple a mind-numbing $1 billion in damages. Now the honorable Judge Koh has just about cut that in half, reducing the penalty by a cool $450,514,650, bringing the total due amount to about $598 million. Samsung will look to further reduce the penalty in the second trial, but with no date set as of yet we will all have to wait and see what happens in the second round between the two mobile giants.
