Pure Chess Launches On Android Today

pure chessOne of the best looking chess games ever, Pure Chess, has just made its way to Android today. Coming to you courtesy of VooFoo Studies and Ripstone, Pure Chess is a marriage of amazing graphics with the age-old classic boardgame, and adds cross-platform play. Pure Chess was originally released on the Playstation Network last year, so with this port to mobile devices, you know you’ll be getting console quality graphics.

If you have an Android device with Android 4.0.3 and higher, you’ll be able to download and play Pure Chess for the absolutely awesome price of free. However, I’m not seeing the download available in Australia at the moment, and I suspect it’s only active in Britain currently, but if you pick it up, make sure to let us know and share your thoughts. Hit the Play Store links below to check it out.

Some say that I'm an Australian. And that as well as being an Engineer, I also enjoy a good game and my Android devices, currently the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Nexus 7. All you need to know though is I review hardware and games, write news, and manage the AndroidSPIN Facebook and Pinterest pages.

Yeah, I’m seeing it now too. I think it was just a gradual roll-out internationally. Well, it’s still early days, and a lot of the 1-stars are compatibility issues that should be ironed out soon.
What chess apps are you using now?
